Bryson Kliemann is one of the many kids who developed an inkling for playing Pokémon games. Apart from playing the game, Bryson likewise collects cards. On the side of enjoying this famous game, Bryson also looks after the welfare of his dog, Bruce.
But one day, while organizing his playing cards, Bryson noticed that Bruce had fallen sick. According to the young boy, the dog was not coming out of his cage. This was unusual because Bruce would often come out of the cage whenever Bryson comes near him.
Bryson noticed that Bruce was lethargic, so he informed his mom about the dog’s weird action. After Kimberly Woodruff learned about the dog’s situation, she immediately rushed Bruce to the Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services.
Since the dog was lethargic, the vet who checked him advised that Bruce must stay at the hospital for further tests. Bruce’s medical tests showed that he got hit by parvo, a deadly dog virus. After hearing this development, Kimberly felt bad about the dog’s declining health.
But even with this ordeal, Kimberly holds on to her faith that everything would be alright. Later on, she informed Bryson about his beloved dog’s situation. Like Kimberly, Bryson also felt sad and told her mom he would do everything to help Bruce.
With Bruce’s condition, the veterinarian told Kimberly that the treatment would cost around $700. It was in the middle of the global pandemic, so Kimberly’s budget was limited.
Bryson is no stranger to the financial situation of his mom. As such, the young kid thought of ways on how he could help raise the needed money. One of the ways is to sell some of his pre-loved Pokémon cards.
It was a difficult decision for Bryson, but since he loves Bruce, the young kid knows his sacrifice will be worth it. Thankfully, Bruce survived the ordeal and received the green light to go home. Bryson felt happy about this development because his selflessness yielded a good result.
