Unwanted Dog With Birth Defect Gains Online Fans And Now Lives With A Happy Family

Jeni Hans January 20, 2022

Mosley is a rescue dog that was born with a facial defect. His snout is crooked, twisting to one side of his face. Because of this, he was overlooked by many people at the previous shelter he was in.

The defect doesn’t harm him in any way. He is in perfect health. But it did significantly lower his chances of getting adopted.

When it surely seemed that he was going nowhere, a nonprofit rescue group took him in and put him in their own facility. With the help of social media, Mosley started becoming popular.

Character

The rescue group posted pictures and videos of Mosley on their Instagram and Facebook page. Everybody started adoring the dog, saying that his snout gave him character. Lindsey and Anson, a couple with two sons, were one of them.

Lindsey fell in love with Mosley the moment she saw him. Their last dog had passed away several years earlier, but they haven’t really made any plans to adopt one. But Lindsey couldn’t get the adorable dog out of her mind, so she convinced her husband to go and meet him.

Mosley was becoming very popular online, and she knew that it was a matter of time before he would get adopted. So they rushed over to the shelter. On the way, she kept convincing everyone that they were not going to adopt the dog. They would simply give him a visit.

That all changed when they finally met him.

New addition to the family

As soon as Mosley entered the visitor’s room, he went straight to Lindsey and showed her some love and affection. The dog stayed by her side while he enjoyed the rubs she was getting from her future mom. Ten minutes after that, Lindsey couldn’t imagine leaving the shelter without Mosley.

That same day, Mosley was adopted by their family.

The dog is now living happily with his new family and gets along well with everyone. Even with their pet cat.
