Some Good Samaritans noticed that a puppy had been wandering the streets for days. They knew he was a stray but there was something odd about him that really caught their attention. His front paws rolled backward and it gave him trouble walking around.
The puppy surely needed help. Thankfully, the locals knew to call for help and contacted the local rescue group called Urmia Animal Rescue. They told the rescuers what they found and informed them of the puppy’s disability.
Without hesitations, the rescuers agreed to help. They hurriedly went to the given location and there, they found the two-month-old puppy they later on named Yamur. They tried to befriend him but they realized it wasn’t necessary because the puppy was so happy to see them.
Yamur wandered the streets of Urmia in Iran for days scavenging for food and searching for help. He wasn’t too lucky finding food but he was fortunate because help finally arrived. He knew the rescuers were there for him.
From the rescue location, the responders took the young puppy straight to the nearest veterinary clinic for medical evaluation. The vets knew he needed his leg fixed but they also tested him for possible diseases he may have caught while on the streets. And while he had thousands of ticks and fleas swarming his little body, it was both a surprise and a sure relief to know that he was in great shape.
After several days out in the cold, Yamur was finally in a warm place. He was so glad to feel safe and was even more thankful for the bowl of food his rescuers gave him. He hadn’t eaten in days so he enjoyed the chicken meat in front of him.
The vets prepped Yamur and a few days later, they performed the surgery on him. Thanks to their hard and expert work, amputation wasn’t necessary. The puppy was able to keep all his four paws and legs.
Yamur is on his way to complete recovery. Soon, he will be able to run fast and chase after the other dogs at the shelter. And before long, he’d bid his goodbye to his rescue friends so he could be with his forever family.
