Locals residing in a small village in India noticed there was a street dog in a construction site nearby. They wondered why the pup had not moved for days so they went and checked on her. To their horror, they realized she was impaled on a building rod, completely unable to move.
The concerned neighbors immediately sought help and eventually reached Animal Aid Unlimited. They explained what happened and the rescue group instantly agreed to help. Two workers rushed to the construction with a metal saw.
The responders quickly went to work and began cutting the rod. But soon, they realized they need an electric saw to cut through the metal rod. They asked for reinforcement and two more volunteers came with the equipment they needed.
The dog was in agony but she tried to stay calm while the rescuers did their job. Once free, however, she snapped for a bit and tried to bite one of the men. But it didnât take long and she realized that they were there to help her.
The rescue workers drove the dog they named Shylee to their hospital as soon as they managed to free her. They carefully examined her and they were relieved when they discovered she didnât have any broken bones. They flushed her wound, cleaned it, and then wrapped it with clean bandages.
Shyleeâs wound gradually healed, but she was so shy and fearful. She cowered in one corner of her kennel and refused to make contact with anyone. Fortunately, the volunteers knew exactly what she needed.
Everyone at the sanctuary took turns caring for the dog. They showered her with lots of love, compassion, and attention. They encouraged her to fight, and because of everything they did, she learned to trust and be happy.
Shylee recovered and transformed into a happy girl in no time, and made friends with the other rescue dogs at the sanctuary. Thanks to her rescue family, she discovered an entirely different life.
