Nana is a 92-year-old woman who loves getting visits from her Great Dane great-grandson named Kernel. Nana, now in the prime of her years, lives away from Kernel and his mom, so the duo would visit Nana every week.
Early Sunday morning, Kernel’s mom would ask Kernel if he liked to see his Nana, and the dog would freak out excitedly. They would drive over to Nana’s place, and a few meters from Nana, Kernel would pop out his head outside the car window and excitedly cry out up to her doorstep.
Upon arriving, Kernel would head straight inside to find Nana and give her kisses. Kernel, being the big dog that he is, would proceed to cover Nana in drool, much to Nana’s delight. The trio would have brunch and just enjoy being together during the day.
Nana is just as excited as Kernel is. She would say hello to her granddaughter but would enthusiastically greet Kernel, her favorite grandkid. Nana would reminisce how only three years ago, Kernel was just a three-month-old pup. For Nana, Kernel would always be an adorable puppy. Despite his size, Kernel would be gentle when he plays with Nana.
The big dog would match his Nana’s energy and seems to understand that he can’t be too excited and hyperactive around Nana. But despite so, Nana and Kernel still manage to play with each other.
Nana loves it when Kernel and his mom would visit her. Aside from happiness, those visits give Nana strength, joy, and good vibes. She would look forward to all weekends with her two grandkids. Nana’s granddaughter couldn’t express how happy she was to get to see her favorite human and dog bond with each other.
Kernel’s mom believes that every dog should have a great Nana like Kernell’s. Someone who will play with them, care for them, and love them like they were her true great-grandchild.
