Stray Puppy Screamed In Panic And Pain, But When His Rescuer Hugged Him, He Calmed Down Almost Instantly

Stray Puppy Screamed In Panic And Pain, But When His Rescuer Hugged Him, He Calmed Down Almost Instantly

Jeni Hans October 21, 2021

A woman who worked at a cafe in Vălenii de Munte in Romania noticed a young puppy outside the shop. She knew he was homeless and something wasn’t right. And when she decided to check on him, she realized he couldn’t walk and he dragged himself around.

The kind worker wanted to help the poor animal and she knew to contact Kola Kariola, the nonprofit animal rescue organization in the city of Calarasi. She explained what she found and gave the rescuers the exact address. While she waited for their arrival, she kept an eye on the puppy and made sure to keep him from further harm.

One of the rescuers hurriedly responded. He drove as quickly as he really could to get to the mountainside. And once he was there, he quickly went to work and tried to befriend the puppy.

The puppy hid under the bench and tried to run away. But because he could barely walk, he wasn’t able to keep his distance. And when the rescuer tried to pet him, he panicked and screamed in so much pain.

There was chaos for a moment but the rescuer knew exactly what to do. He gently grabbed the puppy and hugged him tightly, and the terrified young dog calmed down almost instantly.

The rescuer rushed the puppy he named Benny to the nearest veterinary clinic and the vets determined he had a badly injured femur. If left untreated, it would have put his life in danger. And so, the doctors decided to perform emergency surgery.

After the operation, Benny joined his rescuer at the shelter, where he continued to receive the utmost care. Once he recovered, he began to explore his new environment. He met new faces and made a lot of new friends.

It didn’t take very long and the puppy completely recovered. He became happy, healthy, and incredibly energetic. And because of his great improvement, he soon left and joined his new forever family.
