Stray Dogs Living In A Parking Lot Try To Charm People So They Would Get Adopted

Stray Dogs Living In A Parking Lot Try To Charm People So They Would Get Adopted

Jeni Hans July 18, 2020

To an average person, a parking lot is just a place where they can leave their cars without having to worry about it being stolen. To two homeless puppies, however, the parking lot is the closest they can get to having a house to live in. The living conditions are not ideal, but it’s a place where they can eat and sleep in peace.

Destined to be together

The puppies would always try to charm people who would drop by the parking lot to bring them home. They would wag their tales and do their best to look adorable, in the hopes that they would get adopted.

Things started to look up for the puppies when Destiny Vasquez answered their call. She was waiting for her turn at a drive-thru when she saw one of the puppies looking so glum at the parking lot. Vasquez found herself overwhelmed with sadness at the sight of the pup that she immediately called her mother, Jessica Marin.

The power of social media

Marin, a certified dog lover, had already rescued lots of pups in the past years. This is the reason why she didn’t think twice about saving the homeless pups after receiving the call from her daughter. She spoke to the employees of the restaurant nearby to ask about the furballs. Her heart crushed when they told her they’ve been living in the parking lot for almost a month.

Marin and Vasquez took photos and videos of the dogs to help them find forever homes. They sent the files to Leslie Ysuhuaylas Hennings, who’s been using social media to help animals who have been neglected, abused, and abandoned. Hennings’ post eventually reached Ana Teran, who volunteered to welcome the puppies into her family.

Thanks to the efforts of these four lovely women, the dogs no longer have to live in the parking lot. To see how they rescued the pups, watch the video below:
