Veterinary clinics are perhaps our dogs’ most hated place to go to. For them, going to the vet means they will get pricked by needles and be groped by strangers. That’s why whenever our fur babies get a hint that we are about to take them there, they simply cower in fear.
That’s why it’s just amazing how this runaway poodle from China’s Anhui province decided to go to a vet’s clinic when she needed help. A vet’s clinic is definitely the last thing that a dog would think of should they need a safe haven. But then again, maybe the poodle had no idea that it was a vet’s clinic.
The country’s northeastern region had been hit by a typhoon recently, and floodwaters continued to rise and cause damage. As the storm ravaged the area, Mr. Yao was standing at the entrance of his clinic as he needed to keep an eye on the flood level as it could enter the establishment.
However, he was surprised to spot a poodle swimming through the flood, and she was headed towards the clinic! The pupper was so small that she was totally submerged in the water at one point, but luckily she was skilled enough to swim towards the entrance.
Mr. Yao then picked her up and gave her a hot shower and some food. The clinic was able to get a hold of the poodle’s owner, who was delighted to hear that her doggo was safe. The dog mom was worried sick about her because, as she explained, they were riding together on an electric bicycle during the storm when the poodle jumped off and ran away.
The floodwater swept her away from her mom, but luckily, it brought the pup to Mr. Yao’s clinic. The poodle’s owner came to the clinic the next day to retrieve her fur baby, and she was very thankful to Mr. Yao and his employees.
