Dogs are truly amazing creatures. They’re pure in heart and will never judge you and they will remain loyal to you as long as you really treat them with love and respect. This is one of the many reasons why people adopt dogs.
In a Las Vegas prison, an inmate named Jason became a part of a prison program that lets prisoners train dogs. Jason’s decision to join the dog training program changed his life and has since honed his skills in training dogs. Jason became pretty good at training dogs and everyone was impressed by Jason’s progress.
One of the dogs that Jason trained and grew fond of was a dog named Smokey. Smokey was surrendered at a kill shelter and was chosen to be a good candidate for the prison’s dog training program. According to Smokey’s former family, Smokey used to bite people, which was the reason why he was surrendered to the shelter.
Jason was chosen to be Smokey’s trainer and the rescuers thought that Jason had the necessary skills to help Smokey learn to trust humans again. At first, Smokey was a little skittish but Jason assured him that everything was going to be alright by being gentle with him.
Jason continued to give positive reinforcements to Smokey, which convinced Smokey that not all humans are bad and going to hurt him. Eventually, Smokey came out of his shell and developed a deep bond with Jason. Jason also learned a lot from Smokey when he was training him.
Smokey graduated from the program and he was finally ready to be adopted into a loving family. However, Jason wasn’t all that happy that he was going to be separated from Smokey. Seeing how sad Jason became, Jason’s mom, Cheryl, decided to adopt Smokey.
Jason’s family adopted Smokey before Jason was released from prison. However, they were able to organize a reunion for Jason and Smokey in prison and the two of them were so happy that they were able to see each other again. Jason decided that he was going to be a dog training after he is released from prison. Here’s a heartwarming video showing how Smokey and Jason found each other and changed each other’s lives.
