When Annie Belanger Burley and her family started fostering Lola about six years ago, they knew how horrible the rescue dog’s past was. She was initially living in a local shelter, but after she was spayed, she experienced some rare complications that made her unable to walk.
Lola started to recover under the shelter’s care, and eventually, they decided to turn her over to Big Hearts for Big Dogs, an animal rescue service in Three Lakes, Florida. The organization worked on nursing the poor pup back to health before sending her to live with Annie and her family.
Understandably, the rescue pup took quite some time to get used to her new environment. But the moment she came out of her shell, Annie discovered what a big personality Lola really had. She was always the biggest goofball around and enjoyed making her family double over in laughter.
Because of her adorable qualities, it didn’t take long for the Burleys to fall in love with her, and they eventually decided to adopt her after fostering her for two years. Since then, Annie’s family started spoiling Lola more, showering her with cuddles all day and letting her roam their farm freely.
But among the things that the rescue dog typically received from her family, what she really loved the most was snow cones, especially those flavored with chicken broth and topped with a dog treat. Lola loved snow cones so much that when Annie brought her to the store recently, she was naturally excited and wiggling in delight.
However, her excitement immediately faded as soon as she discovered what her fur mom bought her this time! You see, instead of the chicken broth-flavored snow cone she typically purchased, Annie decided to order a plain one. She figured the flavored snow cone would be too much since Lola had an upset stomach the night before.
Unfortunately, the rescue pup disagreed with her decision and immediately ignored the plain snow cone. She even gave her fur mom the side-eye as if questioning why she ordered the wrong one. Annie couldn’t help but laugh at the canine’s silliness and promised to buy her the right treat on their next visit. Look at the hilarious, picky pup here.
