Great Danes are some of the sweetest dogs you will ever see. However, their gargantuan size intimidates other dogs, and that proved to be a problem for this sweet pupper named Iris. The dog’s mom, Staci, explained that her pooch used to be best friends with their neighbor’s dog, but unfortunately, they moved away.
Since then, Iris had been feeling a bit lonely, so the dog mom started bringing her baby to the local dog park to make new friends. Sadly, the pups at the local park were intimidated by the colossal canine. Iris tried to be friends with the other dogs, but they were just too scared of her.
Staci felt bad for her fur baby, so did we. It’s clear to see that Iris was sad that nobody wanted to play with her at the park. Given that all the doggos were scared of the Great Dane, Staci decided that they will take a break from going to the dog park.
But not long after, they caught a lucky break. Their new neighbors moved in, and they have a dog! His name is Odie. Every time Iris saw this furry newcomer outside, she would be glued to the window. Staci talked to Odie’s humans, and they both agreed to slowly introduce them to each other.
But on their first meeting, the two pups hit it off right away! Odie likes to run towards Iris and this suggests that he’s very happy that he’s found a new best friend, too. In fact, one time, Odie snuck out of their house just to play with the Great Dane.
Staci said that having Odie around breathed new life into her fur baby and she’s very grateful that they found each other. Watch Iris and Odie’s adorable story in the doggy clip below.
