A family surrendered a dog named Tofu to the shelter. The reason was never mentioned. They did inform the people from the shelter that Tofu was partially blind and deaf.
Jordann, a foster mom, heard about Tofu and decided to bring him into her home.
When she first got him, he was very skinny that he only weighed 100 pounds when he should have been more than 110-115. That was not his only issue. He also had separation anxiety. Every time Jordann was at home, he would try to jump over his safety gate.
He had such a long jump that no gate was stopping him from being with his foster mom. He got so attached to her that Tofu became a lap dog. He would always want to be by Jordann’s side. He was not always like this, especially when he first came to their home.
He was a little withdrawn and would not interact with Jordann’s dogs. In time, he got really fond of one of them. It was a Great Dane named Zoot. Since the two got close, Jordann placed them in a kennel together. She also placed a camera near their kennel. Jordann would occasionally look at what was happening at home.
She noticed that Zoot comforted Tofu every time he got anxious. When Tofu would lie down, Zoot laid down with him. It was her way of letting Tofu know that she was there for him.
The two bonded that it was difficult to let him Tufo, but Jordann already had three dogs. It would have been very challenging to get another one. Thankfully, she found him a very loving family.
The family adopted him and renamed him Yeti. He loved being with his new family and was very thankful for Jordann and Zoot’s help.
