Six Harbors Brewing Co., a family-owned brewery, had to close during the COVID-19 lockdown. With that, the owners of the company turned to home deliveries to stay afloat. Fortunately, their golden retrievers Buddy and Barley were there to lend a helping paw.
These adorable dogs helped deliver beers to houses. Buddy and Barley smiled and barked as they approach buyers, as if saying hello to the customers before handing their beers. Adorned with empty four-pack brews hung around their necks, the two pets made significant contributions to the brewery’s delivery team.
The brewery’s owners started the curbside pick-up or the home deliveries with just their employees. Their dogs accompanied them back then, but they were not officially part of the deliveries. However, after quite some time, they noticed that the presence of their lovely golden retrievers brought joy to people’s faces. That’s when they decided to make the dogs part of the delivery team.
The pandemic brought stress to everyone, but these brew dogs delivered joy and cuteness to whoever sees them. Their priceless smiles made the day of the people to whom they made deliveries.
But the fun didn’t end there. Due to the customers’ love for dogs, the company decided to add another brew dog to the team! A few months after Barley and Buddy’s home delivery kick-off, they welcomed Brandy, a female golden retriever. She had her first home delivery on the 28th of October, 2020, where she cheered many people up.
Despite the uncertainties of this trying time, it was always a ‘golden’ day for the pet-friendly brewery and its customers. Months passed, and even with eased COVID-19 restrictions, Buddy, Barley, and Brandy continued to assist the brewery with home deliveries. They went on to bring smiles and cheers with every delivery.
