Fahrudin Caki Bravo is an independent animal rescuer in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and Herzegovina in Europe. Last month, while driving, he passed by the local park, and something caught his attention. He saw a little puppy that looked defeated and sad.
Curious and a bit concern, Fahrudin pulled over to investigate. Two women sat with the little girl at the park bench. They tried to feed her, but the poor pup was too depressed to even respond.
Fahrudin couldn’t just leave the puppy behind. He knew he had to help her. And he promised to change her life for the better and make her happy again.
Talking to the people at the park, Fahrudin learned that someone abandoned the poor dog. No one knows exactly how long she’s been there, but being alone left her in a depressed state. She’s pretty filthy and had scabs on her head.
Fahrudin decided to call the little one Buhica. Buhica is about 1 ½ to 2 months old and weighs no more than 2 pounds. She’s a little down after someone dumped her, but she’s a sweet, sweet girl.
Fahrudin gave Buhica some food and water. She starved, so she happily accepted them. Afterward, they drove straight to the Stray Paws Animal Rescue center.
Back home, Buhica made new friends. She loved every individual she met. And she enjoyed playing with all the other animals, including cats.
Before the end of the day, Buhica transformed from a depressed to a gleeful puppy. She knew her life is about to change, and realized she’s never going to be alone, ever again. She thanked her rescuer by giving him her happiest tail wag.
Buhica received medical attention and medicated baths to help hear her skin. She recovered both physically and emotionally. And soon enough, she will be with her new forever home.
